
The WCAEIA is offering a 3 day training course on the subject "Complete a Certificate of Compliance".
This course is sponsored by ESETA and therefore has no financial implications for the participant.
Unit Standard Credits will be awarded, in terms of the National Quality Framework, to persons who successfully complete the course. These Credits will contribute to a Qualification as Single Phase Tester or Installation Electrician.

Workshops:
Regular workshops for electricians are presented by Mr. Peter Smuts and cover subject matter such as litigation and regulations, etc. These workshops provide essential information for persons in the electrical industry and assist him/her in keeping up-to-date with amendments. Mr. Smuts is a member of various SABS working groups, including
SANS 10142-1, and has extensive knowledge low voltage electrical installations..
Duration: 1 day (light lunch provided)

Similar workshops are offered to Companies at their own premises, for 10 or more delegates.
Practical Re-fresher Course:
The Practical Refresher Course, offered by the WCAEIA'is proving to be very popular amongst persons doing electrical installation work. This course offers practical instruction into inspection and testing of electrical installations.
Duration: 1 day (no meals provided - tea and coffee available)
Venue: SIM Centre, WCAEIA Building
Assessments and Training:
The WCAEIA provides training in terms of SAQA and ESETA requirements, in the following categories for accreditation:
- Single Phase Tester: Training, Assessment and Accreditation
- Single Phase Tester: Training and Assessment - Inspect and Test
- Three Phase Installation Electrician: Training and Assessment - Inspect and Test
- Master Installation Electrician: Training and Assessment - Inspect and Test

The WCAEIA is frequently invited to address groups of Estate Agents, Conveyancing Attorneys and other Members of the Electrical Industry regarding the interpretation, methodology and litigation of electrical installations where compliance may be disputed.
These seminars cover a host of case studies and energise lively debate.

The WCAEIA has been appointed by the ES/ETQA as the Provincial Co-ordinator in the Western Cape. Emerging training providers and persons wanting to become training providers in the electrical industry may contact this office for further information.
Effective Human Resources (EHI), in association with the WCAEIA, is presenting training seminars for Electricians and Electrical Engineers.
The seminars are facilitated by Mr. Callie Kruger of EHI and presented by Mr. Peter Smuts, Moderator from the WCAEIA.
The seminars offer training covering Unit Standard 13683: “Issue certificate of compliance for a domestic/commercial/industrial installation.” Successful completion of the examination at the end of the seminar, will secure 5 credits for NQF level 5 and/or 1 CPD point.
